Meet the Photographer

My name is Madison Fleming and I am a wife, mommy to babies both human and dog, crafter, and the photographer behind Little Red Wagon Family Portraits.  I have a degree in and worked in advertising for five years, but when I lost my job while I was pregnant with my son, I decided to make lemonade out of lemons and finally pursue my dream of becoming an independent photographer.  So I ditched advertising and turned my photography hobby into my career!

I love to use warm light and natural surroundings in my photos, and am a fan of candid shots.  I use a mixture of posed and unposed photos because I believe some of the photos where our kiddos aren't sitting still and smiling necessarily but instead are playing with dirt and bugs, making a funny face, or wiggling around end up being our favorites in years to come because they truly capture the child's personality at that age.

My philosophy is to let children be children when taking their photos.  I try to play games, utilize rewards, blow bubbles to keep your children engaged and happy during the photo shoot.  This keeps the pressure off you as the parent so you can relax and have a good time, as well.  I always plan poses for my photo sessions, but remain flexible because I know children don't always want to do what we want to do!  Some of the best shots can come from doing what the kids want to do.

I believe it is so important to be comfortable with your photographer in order to get those natural smiles and to have an overall good experience, so if you're interested in working with Little Red Wagon Family Portraits, send me an email or give me a call.  I would love to chat with your or grab a coffee to get to know each other!
